Egg white's, Swiss cheese, fresh spinach on a croissant with delicious creamy grits and excellent coffee. Clean, quite, inexpensive, excellent service and a happy staff. Hole in one, totally unexpected.

Refuel is a breakfast/brunch/lunch spot, but there weren't many lunch options available.  Luckily today there was a Cuban sandwich on the menu - I think it was today's special.  The roasted pork was delicious, but I chose to remove the bacon as I'm a traditionalist with my Cubans.  I chose roasted potatoes as my side and they were well seasoned and perfectly cooked.

I'll have to go back for breakfast because the options were many, and all sounded yummy.

The staff was friendly and all of the windows across the front of the restaurant really let the sun in.

Great little gem of a restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast was plenty of choices that caught our eye. Went around 9 am on a Sunday. Just starting to fill up when we were finishing up. Nicely put together inside love the cloth napkins . You order and pay at the counter and food is brought to your table.  Free refills on coffee just take your cup up to the coffee guy. The counter person was very welcoming and pleasant. Good portions we didn't leave hungry.  I had the scrambled eggs and bacon and French toast. Eggs were just how I liked them well cooked and bacon crunchy. French toast was good but a bit to think for my taste but that is a preference. The big breakfast with poached eggs and potatoes was just right. Also at our table was a traditional breakfast  sandwich was was large and filling. All in all a good meal. Recommend

Let's just start with the GRITS!!! They are amazing. I'm very picky when it comes to my grits. Refuel definitely exceeded my expectations. The French toast was good, not the best I've had but definitely good. It was super thick, yet light and pleasing. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon, well let's just say any bacon lover would appreciate the thick smoky flavored bacon! I can't wait to try some of the other menu items!

This restaurant is good if you want some healthier options. If your just looking for good food there are much better places to go in New Orleans.

The orange juice tasted good but still kind of artificial. I'm a stickler about my fresh squeezed orange juice and compare them all to the fresh market fresh squeezed.

I got the meat omelet with bacon, ham and andouille sausage. In my personal opinion a true omelet has the ingredients mixed into the egg. This was more like an egg pancake with toppings folded in half. I got it with a side of fruit and whole grain toast both of which were good. The fruit came with blueberries, oranges and pineapple. They had other options for the toast as well one of which was sourdough but I liked the whole grain. There is also butter and jelly (blueberry and strawberry) at the table to top it.

My Dad got the pork and grits special. He said it was a tasteful and elegant combination. The citrus jalapeño really brought out the flavor of both the grits and the pork. He found it very satisfying and filling.

Overall I'd recommend it if you want a place with healthier options. But if you're only in town for a few days I saw screw eating healthy, enjoy yourself!
